I always wanted to be an interior designer, or be part of the creative & fun world of advertising. Portrait photographer with a background in graphic design, I have come to appreciate the visual arts since a very young age, growing up in a family of artists and curators in southern Switzerland. As an adult, I decided to look beyond the borders of my native country and moved to Milano, then London, lived Berlin and New York also. And for many years, the camera was always on my shoulder, bringing me closer to the people and the world around me.

I believe that creating more simple experiences for people strengthens human connections and enhances our collective well-being and happiness.
My approach centers on distilling complex problems into their essential elements, making them more manageable and intuitive for users. Thoughtful design feels even kinder when it looks aesthetically pleasing.
I enjoy a healthy lifestyle through daily physical activity and relaxation practices which help me stay focused and grounded, better prepared to face the next challenge.
Trying to keep a beginner’s mind, assuming I might be wrong.

Three human-centric principles resume my approach to work and design:
★ Problem Solving ★ Empathy ★ Creative Thinking.
★ Problem Solving
If you need to solve a problem, ask yourself the following questions:
Is this important and urgent, or is it important not urgent?
Have I encountered this obstacle before and how did I overcome it?
What is the single thing that would make everything else easier and prevent potential setbacks?
★ Empathy
Any story will resonate better with the listener when the teller is fully engaged.
My work experience in a customer-facing role working for a Scandinavian design store in central London was the onset of my empathetic learning in a commercial setting;
One time I was asked to justify why the colorful tea light votives costed 3 x times those from IKEA, yet looked really similar.
I could have explained the difference in the making of the artifacts (see I don’t merely call it object) ie. our store glass is colored throughout, from the inside out, and therefore never fades etc…Instead I chose to ask a few questions in order to understand what the client needed and wanted, what might have been a valuable purchase in their life that day; I was empathizing without yet knowing that it would have been such an important skill to carry along with me and practice in every aspect of life, both the professional, and the personal.
Empathy has since become central to my roles in CX, sales and freelance career and I keep learning about it the more I practice it.
★ Creative thinking
Following my studies in photography I’ve spent several years crafting creative portrait & fashion stories conducted in test format with various model agencies in Milano, London and New York. For each session, I jotted down the plot, storyboards, and managed teams of collaborators. You can see some of these stories here
My favourite quote about creativity is:
Creatives, will always find a way to solve problem, utilising resources in different ways to make things work.
